 Callie Carson to Host PTPW

Move over Martha Stewart - a new face is about to spring forth across the nation in the form of Callie Carson. She’s the cheeky, upbeat, spontaneous and attractive host of the new syndicated television series Planning the Perfect Wedding. Slated for a January 2000 debut, the program is a television primer for the bride-to-be, the groom and their families. "Callie Carson is a real find: naturally engaging, humorous, and warm, she’s everything that a show like this needs to appeal to its intended audience," states Michael Shortt, PTPW’s Creator and Executive Producer. "It’s not a show where you need a tack hammer and a hot glue gun; it’s about style and proper etiquette for the biggest day in a woman’s life. It’s also a fun show. We are taking the mystery out of the wedding planning process while being entertaining and informative," says Shortt.

Callie Carson stands 5’7" tall, a perfect size eight, she looks like a combination of Sharon Stone and Meg Ryan - she has that certain something that’s hard to describe: Non-threatening to women, a pal to men and the utmost authority on the wedding arts. Bringing a "This Old House" approach to the big event, Callie will cover a different aspect of wedding planning each week over 26 original episodes.

She’s fresh, understands today’s bride, embraces traditional customs, yet inspires the uncommon and unexpected wedding. Maybe Callie Carson says it best, "I’m totally passionate about this subject. It’s not about following some paint-by-numbers wedding plan, but creating what’s perfect for you, your own masterpiece! I love the challenge of taking the ‘chore’ of planning and turning it into an adventure as cool as the day itself, and bringing the audience with me. The joy is in the journey, the show’s a trip, and so am I."
